Concrete to MBR City and Meydan sites

MBR City and Meydan combine villa districts, apartment blocks and active construction phases. Each phase has its own gate and often its own rules for trucks.

Al Khail Road, then the phase gate

About 8 km from Al Quoz, the route is Al Khail Road, then Meydan Road or a phase entrance. Sobha Hartland and other districts have their own access control. Ask the developer which gate construction traffic uses and at what times, and whether mixers may use the internal roads past occupied buildings.

Several sites inside one phase may pour the same night. Tell us as soon as you know, so we plan the trucks in sequence and avoid a queue of mixers from different contractors at the same gate.

Blocks and villas in numbers

An apartment block raft of 300 m³ is 25 trucks. We stage them inside the site boundary when space allows and keep a steady chain from the plant, adjusting the gap between departures to the placing rate the site reports. A villa slab of 48 m³ is four trucks, which a single pump can place in one session.

Where several villas in a row are poured on the same day, we can run the trucks from one plot to the next in order, with the pump moving between them. That only works if each plot is ready, formwork checked and the consultant signed off, before the first truck leaves the plant. Send us the order of the plots the evening before.

Boom selection

Villa work stays at 43 m. For apartment blocks, the 57 m boom covers longer reach and podium setbacks. Taller towers go to a placing boom on the slab, fed by pipeline from the pump at ground level.

Hot weather on open plots

Early phases are open ground with wind and sun on fresh slabs, which raises the risk of plastic shrinkage cracking. Night pours limit the evaporation, and curing should start immediately after finishing. Follow the consultant's specification for substructure exposure and lay blinding under footings.

Questions from MBR City and Meydan sites

Can multiple sites in Meydan share a pour night?
Yes, if we know in advance. We sequence the trucks so they do not queue at the gate.
What boom suits an apartment block?
Usually the 57 m boom for reach. Villas need 43 m, and tall towers use a placing boom.
