Gate rules come first
Dubai Hills is a gated community run by its master developer, with controlled access, delivery hours and approved truck routes inside. Check with the developer or community management for the paperwork and hours before booking, and send us their requirements for vehicles and drivers.
From Al Quoz, trucks come by Al Khail Road or Umm Suqeim Street. The short distance means low retarder doses, but a long wait at the gate eats into workability, so agree a clear entry procedure. If the gate needs a list of plate numbers, we send it the day before.
Volumes and spacing
A villa raft of 72 m³ is six trucks. Inside a villa cluster, one truck at the pump and one waiting on the plot is the limit, because the internal roads are used by residents who already live in the finished phases. We release trucks from the plant one at a time as the site calls.
Apartment blocks near the mall and the park take bigger slabs. A 180 m³ podium is 15 trucks, staged inside the hoarding where there is room, with the rest kept moving from Al Quoz. If the mall or school traffic is heavy at the hour you pick, we suggest a later start rather than let trucks wait in it.
Booms and curing
For villas, a 43 m boom is enough and keeps the pump compact on a residential street. The mid-rise blocks may need the 57 m boom when the pump stands on the internal road and the pour is at the back of the podium.
Some plots are still open ground with little shade, and fresh slabs dry fast in wind and sun. Plan curing to start right after finishing, and consider a night or early morning pour in summer. Fibre-reinforced concrete is an option for ground slabs and driveways.
