The run from Al Quoz
Nine kilometres in a straight line is a short haul by Dubai standards, but the trip runs on two of the busiest truck corridors in the south of the city. At peak hours the same route can take far longer, so we plan the dispatch around the traffic you will actually face at the hour of the pour, not the empty-road case.
For daytime pours in the warmer months we still set a light retarder dose so the first and last truck of the day arrive with the same slump. Tell us the slump your engineer wants at discharge and we work back from there.
Apartment slabs and the pump question
The bulk of the work here is apartment buildings in the G+4 to G+12 range, plus townhouse clusters and sports facilities. A 43 m boom covers most mid-rise slabs when the pump can park along the building face. If the only hardstanding is at the back of the plot, or the slab is high and deep, the 57 m boom saves you from repositioning halfway through.
Typical floor slab of 110 m³: that is ten trucks (nine full, one part load). If the pump crew places around 35 m³ an hour, you need a 12 m³ truck arriving roughly every twenty minutes, and we space the dispatch to match so no truck waits with its drum turning.
Booking the window
Call +971 52 998 9988 at least a day ahead with the volume, the mix, the pump size and the time the gate opens. Some buildings in Motor City sit inside managed communities where the developer controls delivery hours and the truck route to the site; check with the community before you lock the date, and send us the access instructions so the drivers have them.
Questions from Dubai Sports City and Motor City sites
- Can you pour a Sports City slab at night?
- Yes, the plant runs 24/7. Night pours help with placing temperature in summer, as long as your site and the community allow work at that hour.
- Which boom size should I book for a G+8 block?
- Usually the 43 m boom, if the pump can set up close to the building. Send us the site plan and we will confirm before the pour.
