Concrete delivery in Jumeirah Lake Towers

In JLT the hard part is not the 11 km from Al Quoz. It is getting a mixer into a cluster between the lakes and keeping it off a road shared with residents and other sites.

From our Al Quoz plant
about 11 km in a straight line
Ground conditions
Coastal, shallow saline groundwater
Main truck access
Sheikh Zayed Road

Book the window before the volume

Call us with the cluster, the tower and the slot the community has approved. JLT is reached from Sheikh Zayed Road on both sides, and the interchange you use decides which side of the lakes the truck arrives on, so tell the dispatcher which gate the site uses and send a pin.

Many JLT jobs are podium repairs, fit-out screeds and small slabs inside working buildings. Those pours are short, but a missed window can mean waiting for the next day, so we plan the departure from the plant backwards from the time your access opens and add a margin for the Sheikh Zayed Road traffic at that hour.

Small pours, tight spacing

A 36 m³ podium slab is three 12 m³ trucks. With no space to queue inside the cluster, we send them one after another so the second arrives as the first is emptying, not before. For screeds inside a building, the material may go up by line pump, and we load the truck to the quantity your crew can place before the mix stiffens.

Larger cluster foundations follow the same logic at a bigger scale: count the loads, agree the gap between arrivals with the site, and keep a truck waiting outside the cluster road, not on it. Residents and other contractors use the same lane, and a blocked cluster road is the fastest way to lose next week's slot.

Which boom for a lake-side tower

Lake edges and planting strips limit where an outrigger can go. A 43 m boom from the cluster road usually reaches a podium. If the pump must stand on the far side of a planted strip or a car park ramp, the 57 m boom is the safer choice. Upper floors of a tower are placed by a placing boom on the slab, fed by pipeline.

Ground and mix

JLT sits on coastal ground with saline groundwater close to the surface, so foundations and basements take substructure mixes with GGBS, a low water/cement ratio and the cover the consultant specifies for chloride and sulphate exposure.

Questions from Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT) sites

Who sets delivery hours in JLT?
The community management and the building owner. Check with them, then give us the approved slot and we time the trucks to it.
Can you deliver a small quantity for fit-out?
Tell us the volume and how it will be placed. We load the truck to match and coordinate the arrival with your access slot.
